Thank you, Stephanie Carlson, for inviting our students to play with your students for the residents at Phoenix at Lake Joy. It was so sweet to provide dinner music for them! I am so proud of my students who came out and shared their music today. All the students played wonderfully!

What a glorious morning to work in my flower bed. Working in the dirt, deadheading, pulling weeds. Feeling the cool breeze, listening to the birds and the chickens. All is quiet and calm, a chance for me to clear my head and breathe after a busy year of teaching. Ah! 😌

This sweet girl helped make the final lesson of the season fun and enjoyable! We had a great time together finishing her PA level 4 book, working on new music and making awesome plans for next year. While we were in the studio, her amazing mom, Emily, made us an end-of-year celebratory lunch. What a great way to end a wonderful year of piano teaching!

May’s Spotlight on a Composer is focused on John Williams. The students are enjoying learning all about the life and works of John Williams. It was so fun beginning this session on Star Wars Day, May 4th. This is a great way to keep students motivated and engaged during the final month of the season!
