It is with great sadness that one of our board members, Michael Rigsby passed away last week leaving behind an 11 yr old son and 15 yr old daughter along with his dedicated and loving wife. Michael has been an intricate part of SAV almost from the beginning. Not only did he consult for us on several different issues, he was responsible for setting up our portables for our respite center and our previous preschool. Our concrete was poured by Michael, the gazebo built and the fence and gates placed. Michael was always just a phone call away and helped whenever and however I needed him. From dump runs to adding extra lights, hanging ceiling fans and fixing the water heater. Michael for a long time was my Father's right hand man and later became a personal friend and brother to me when my parents passed. Even when Michael was no longer a part of the SAV payroll, he still gave 110% to our program and to me. If you have the ability, please consider donating to his beautiful family in honor of his selfless work and dedication to us. Thank you!

I need to do a little catch up.... We have been enjoying the intermittent fall days, learning more about our participants with All About Me posters and pictures from home and another "field trip Friday" to my house. Kinsley and Harlow have been a little more present the past few weeks as well as their nantie (Auntie/Nanny) is out of town - hence making me more busy than usual. If I don't voice it enough, I truly appreciate my team members and our participant's families for all their flexibility while I juggle family and SAV life!

Fall crafts are starting a bit early 😊 Also some pictures from last week. The days were hot outside, but our folks were cool as cucumbers and strutting their stuff 💪

SAV had a field trip to my house today!! So much fun for all of us to have a nice change of scenery for our small group of 4 (or 9 including myself, Jennifer, Teddy, Kinsley and Harlow)
