🎨 Help Us Stock the BHS Art Room! 🖌️

Our BHS Art Room is looking for a little help from our wonderful community! We are hoping to reduce, reuse, and recycle before buying new and are asking for donations of items that can be repurposed for creative projects in our art classes.

Do you have any of these items sitting around at home that you no longer need? We would love to give them a second life! ♻️

✨ Items we are looking for include:

Thin fabric or scarves
Coffee mugs
Small or medium flower vases
Ink pads for stamps
Tissue paper
Ribbon
Chicken wire
Latex-free balloons
Newspaper
Gallon ice cream buckets and/or lids
Spoons and forks
Clothespins
Decorative napkins for decoupage
Towels and washcloths
Popsicle/craft sticks

Items can be lightly used or new, unless otherwise specified. Every donation, big or small, helps provide our students with materials to explore their creativity and bring their artistic ideas to life! ❤️

📍 Donations can be dropped off at the high school office.

🎉 What a GREAT Homecoming Day! 🎉

What a beautiful day to celebrate our students and our school community! ☀️💙

Today’s Pep Fest and Homecoming Parade were filled with school spirit, smiles, excitement, and plenty of community support! It was wonderful to see so many people come out to cheer on our students and help make this a special day.

A huge THANK YOU to our community for showing up, encouraging our students, and helping us build what has become a great Homecoming tradition for years to come! 🥳📣

And a very special CONGRATULATIONS to our 2026 Homecoming King and Queen, Seth Fawson and Cambria Daley! 👑💙👑

We are so proud of all of our students who participated and helped make today such a memorable celebration. Thank you to everyone who helped organize, participate, cheer, and support our school!

The Homecoming Parade is just around the corner, and we’d love to see our community come together to celebrate our high school students! 💙

Join us along the parade route as our students, staff, clubs, organizations, and community groups come together for a fun-filled Homecoming tradition! 🥳🎉

Bring the family, grab a chair, wave to the students, and help us fill the streets with school spirit, smiles, and lots of cheering! 📣

Your support means so much to our students. Let’s show them just how proud our community is of them and make this Homecoming Parade one to remember! ❤️

Mr. VanDeWalker visits our High School basic construction class with Mr. Gunter and his students.

Building skills. Building confidence. Building a future.

Students are getting hands-on experience by working alongside Mr. Gunter to build sheds from the ground up. From reading plans and taking measurements to cutting materials, framing, teamwork and problem-solving, students are developing practical skills they can carry well beyond the classroom.

These projects give students a firsthand look at what it takes to work in the skilled trades while building their knowledge, confidence, teamwork, and attention to detail. With every cut, measurement, and completed section, they’re gaining valuable experience and laying the foundation for future opportunities in construction and other trades.

Attention current 9th & 10th grade Byron High School students ---The Byron Science Adventure Crew is heading to Australia and New Zealand in Summer 2028, and we want YOU to join the journey! We already have 30 travelers signed up and ready to go, but there's still room for a few more curious minds and adventurous families to hop on board. If interested, there will be ONE more opportunity to sign up for this amazing, once in a lifetime adventure. The meeting will be held Wednesday, Sept. 30th @ 6pm in the HS MPR.

🎣🔥 WORLD FINALS BOUND! 🔥🎣

IT’S OFFICIAL! Lane and Tyler have punched their ticket to the High School Fishing WORLD Finals & National Championship! 🏆

The early alarms. The long drives. The cold mornings. The endless hours of practice. The missed fish, tough days, adjustments, and grinding until that next bite finally came. This is what tournament fishing is all about.

Now it’s time to take everything they’ve learned and put it to the test on Lake Hartwell in South Carolina this June. 💪🎣

Getting this opportunity during their senior year makes it even more special. They’ve put in the work, earned their spot, and now they get to line up against some of the best young anglers in the country.

We’re proud of the work they’ve put in — but we’re not heading to Hartwell just to make up the numbers. We’re going there to compete. 🔥
