Lansing Christian Tournament Results (08/29/26): This afternoon, Zion Christian's varsity Mountaineers faced the Comets of Kalamazoo Christian in the championship game of the Lansing Christian Tournament. Our Mountaineers struggled with some player injuries and a physically tough opponent in the Comets. At the conclusion of the game, our Mountaineers came up short, 0-1, to the Comets and finished in second place. Keep working hard, Mountaineers!
*Of note: Our ZCS Mountaineers will face the Comets of Kalamazoo Christian a second time, next week Thursday, Sept. 4, in a regular season match-up. The game will be hosted by the Comets of Kalamazoo Christian (2121 Stadium Dr., Kalamazoo, MI 49008).

Lansing Christian Tournament Results (08/29/26): Zion Christian's varsity Mountaineers were hosted by the Pilgrims of Lansing Christian in the first game of the Lansing Christian Tournament this morning. Our Mountaineers defeated the Pilgrims, 6-1, to move on to the finals to play for the championship trophy. Congratulations, Mountaineers! To God be all the glory!

TOURNAMENT DAY (08/29/26): Zion Christian's varsity Mountaineers will be hosted by the Pilgrims of Lansing Christian School (405 Belle Chase Way, Lansing, MI 48911) in their soccer tournament today. Our Mountaineers will kick off the first game at 9:00 am. The second game time will be determined by the result of our first game. If we lose the first game, we will play at 12:00 PM; if we win the first game, we will play at 1:30 PM. Go, Mountaineers!
*There is admission to this tournament. $5 for adults $2 for children and a max of $20 per family.

Race Day (08/28/26): Tonight, Zion Christian's cross-country team will run in South Christian's 6th annual "Under the Lights" Invitational (7979 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Byron Center, MI 49315). Due to the enormity of this meet, races begin at 5:30 pm with the middle school runners; however, our first participants will be the high school varsity girls @ 9:45 pm with our varsity boys to follow at 11:45 pm. Go, Mountaineers!
*Parking will be $10 cash or $11 Venmo per car. There will be limited parking spots on South's campus, otherwise additional parking can be found at Cornerstone Church (1675 84th St. SE, Caledonia, MI 49316). They ask that you do not try to park in the neighborhoods surrounding South's campus as a courtesy to the neighbors.
**If you park at the church, there will be a shuttle bus to take you to the school. Please do not try to cross Kalamazoo Ave on foot for any reason. They will have a sheriff on hand to enforce this.

Race Results (08/26/26): Last night, Zion Christian's varsity cross-country team competed in their first meet of the 2026 season. Our Mountaineers were hosted by the Eagles of Calvary Christian in the first of four Alliance League meets.
From Coach Freddie Bierling: "Boys race: Ian DeRuiter placed 21st overall as our top finisher. Seth Moes set a new personal best! Tytus DeRuiter performed well in his first ever varsity cross-country race! Overall, the boys' team placed 5th."
"Girls race: Lindsey Nordyke placed 4th overall as our top finisher! Jenessa Klyen and Elise Suwyn followed with 6th and 7th place finishes, respectively. The girls' team had a great showing and placed 2nd overall! Soli Deo Gloria!" Congratulations, Mountaineers, and may God receive all the glory!
