Maine State Button Society Maine State Button Society began in 1945 when button collecting was in its infancy. Maine State Button Society presently has 1 active club in Maine.

At one time Maine was a leader in Button Collecting and had many clubs throughout Maine. The York County Button Club, which has 22 members, and meet the 3rd Tuesday of the month at noon, at the Springvale Library, year round. It is open to the public. We are in the process of gathering a group for the Portland area, and presently has 5 members. Our meetings will be the 4th Tuesday of the month at

St. Anthony's Church on Brown Street, Westbrook, ME at 12 noon. Interested parties should message me here at this page. We currently have annual show a in April. April show is hosted by the York County Button Club. It is open to the public, no admission fees. There will be raffles of button related items and also non button related items.

FRIENDSHIP BUTTON CLUB SHOW & SALE
The Friendship Button Club will host its annual Button Show and Sale on August 8th from 10am to 1pm at the UCC Church, 77 Main Street, Harrison, Maine. This year’s theme is “The Cat’s Meow”commemorating International Cat Appreciation Day.
The show and sale will feature buttons of all ages, styles and materials affording those visitors new to this hobby an opportunity to learn more about (and purchase), these tiny collectibles. Vendors will have buttons for collecting as well as button crafts for sale.
Besides button sales there will be button displays, free refreshments, free favors, a simple make and take activity and door prizes drawn every 30 minutes. These events are sure to create a purrfectly fun time.
Join us! It’s sure to be The Cat’s Meow for those who appreciate buttons and/ or cats!
