Thank you for putting together an amazing day of collaborative learning, Tech & Learning Magazine ! This was my first year attending the New England Regional Leadership Summit, but it definitely won't be my last. I wrapped up the day by accepting the Innovative Learning Space award on behalf of myself and Stephen Avery for our work creating a Mobile Maker Lab for schools. Special thanks to the Learning Through Technology at Maine DOE team who made it financially possible with the grant we were awarded a year ago. I'm looking forward to attending the Summit in New York City in December to share all that we've accomplished between now and then.

I flew, I learned, I made connections, I walked to Lake Michigan during sunrise, I learned some more, and I flew home. It was a whirlwind trip (54 hours total), but what an incredible experience and an awesome start to the deep work I'll be doing for the next 15ish months with my community of practice hosted by and . Today I get to sleep and watch the snow fall in Maine for our first snow day of the year. And I'll see one or two people all day unlike the past two days! 🤣 Thank you to for letting me have this experience. Twenty years at the district and I can't imagine working anywhere else. 💚

This summer I spent a lot of time driving, paddling, and walking while listening to audiobooks. Fortunately, we have lots of options available for members right in the which meant I got to listen to professional books without paying for them. I binged Ethan Mollick’s Co-intelligence: How to Live and Work with AI” and got inspired with new ways to leverage AI for both work and pleasure. If you aren’t an member yet, it is well worth the $20 annual membership for the books alone!
