There will be a sports meeting for all athletes and their parents who may be participating in a sport this upcoming school year. The meeting will be held in the gym on August 3rd at 5:30pm. Coaches will be on hand to answer questions about the upcoming seasons. Eligibility paperwork will be available.

A reminder for those with physicals due they are required prior to participating in the sport. There will also be information about the new sports calendar and app being used by the Conference. Free WIAA sports physicals will be offered at Butternut School on Wednesday, August 12th from 4-6 p.m. Wear shorts and T-shirt and have all paperwork filled out with parent signatures where required.

Coach Nevelier and the Butternut Pep Squad hosted their first cheer camp on June 25th. The girls that participated in the camp learned the importance of stretching before cheering and the basics of cheerleading such as arm placement, sharp movements, and voice projection. With the help of the cheer captain Lara Montgomery and pep squad members Aurora Butts and Myla Keifer they also learned some of the cheers that the squad performs at games. Lastly, the girls had the opportunity to do some basic stunts. The girls had a lot of fun!

Congratulations and good luck to Avery Williams who is in San Antonio, Texas for the 2026 Middle School FBLA National Leadership Conference which is taking place June 29 - July 2. Avery placed second at the state competition back in March to qualify for Nationals in Exploring Technology. Avery will compete on Wednesday, July 1st at Nationals. Good luck Avery!!
