Happy Saturday!🎉
I took my workout outside today because here in southern Minnesota our gorgeous summer mornings are limited. Taking advantage of the weather as much as I can.
It was a run/walk day. At the end of my run I did lunges across the bridge. I found a starting point and challenged myself to do as many lunges as it took to get across the bridge. My legs were burning. Then finished it with high knee runs up the hill.

*Find your own challenge today. Switch things up a bit and try something new. Maybe do some lunges, high knees, plank, something different than your normal routine. Most importantly get outside and enjoy the vitamin D and green grass.
Tell me what challenge you did today. ♥️

Hi 👋🏻
Happy Saturday.
For those of you that follow my Instagram account, you know on most Saturdays in the spring/summer I go running.
Running is my therapy. Something I learned to combat the “blahs” of life is to think and say out loud a thankful list. There is always, always, always something to be grateful for.
Life is hard at times and some days it’s hard to see the good around us. Other days it’s easy. Whatever day you are having, take the time to list your gratefulness. Say it out loud. Keep a journal with your list. Go for a walk, run, or bike ride and come up with all the thankfulness. It is excellent therapy to fight the blahs of life.

*also moving your body helps. I’ve been running and following a weight program called LIIFT4. What are you doing to fight the blahs?

Just my thoughts on my 4 week elimination nutrition plan I have been following.
It’s been a game changer for my energy and depression. No longer on meds. Feeling great. 🎉
I will start reintroducing foods this week and see what (if any) food sensitivities I have and will just keep going on this healthy living journey.
Listen below and message me any questions. ♥️

Happy Saturday my friends! 👋🏻
Life is a bit busy with transitions. 🤯
Transition from winter sports to spring sports for my kids. 🏀⚾️⚽️
I’m transitioning from one role as an RN to a different one. 👩‍⚕️
Transitioning from having a sons making childlike decisions to adult decisions. 😳🤯(How did we get to the point that we have one leaving the nest soon and another one just starting the process?)

Although transitions can be hard, there is so much good that comes with it too. ♥️

I’ve been working thru a workout program that will soon be coming to an end. It’s a good time to refocus on health goals and transition to a new program that is brand new to me.
Some of you saw my previous post a few weeks ago about starting to focus on my gut health to help with my anxiety and mood. Well a date has been confirmed!
I will be running a group thru the program 4 Week Gut Protocol and 4 Weeks for Everybody workouts starting April 18, the day after you’ve enjoyed all those Easter treats. 😏😉

If you’ve been struggling with bloating, gas, stomach aches, increased anxiety, low energy, just overall not feeling your best this may be something to look into. I am in every category listed above and I’m ready to feel better.
There is a fee for this and I can explain all that in a message. Or maybe you just want to be a fly on the wall in one of my groups to observe everything before jumping in, you can do that too.

I am traveling today so I’ve been using the long drive to study about what this all entails and now I’m pretty excited to get started. Is it going to easy? Probably not at first, but one of the ladies in my accountability group has already started and she is feeling better after 2 weeks. She has also unintentionally lost weight without being focused on the number on the scale. This is what gets me excited.
It’s time to feel better!
Who’s ready to join?

Hey! Hey! Hey! 👋🏻
I am starting a new journey and I want you to join me.
Last fall I started on an anti anxiety/depression medication called Prozac per my doctor’s recommendation. The past couple of years I have dealt with some pretty dark days full of anxiety, sleeplessness, too much sleep, sadness with no explanation, and spurts of anger. I talked with my doctor and a therapist and thought I would try some medications to help.
It has helped, but I do not like the side affects of these meds. So, with a lot of prayer, support from friends, and a sunny winter vacation ☀️🏝🏖, I have decided to try to work on mental health another way.
Insert: gut health, light therapy, and lots of prayer for strength.
Last Monday I took my last pill of Prozac. Today I ordered what I need to follow 4Week Gut Protocol and I am excited to get started on a journey to whole healing. I have been paying attention to how my body responds to what I eat. Pizza last Friday really did a number to my GI tract. 😳 This makes me sad, but I am much more aware now how my body is responding to what I’m feeding it. I think this program will just help my journey along in a structured way.
So if any of this is relatable, I would love to have you join in this journey. If you want to physically do the program with me, let me know. I cannot guarantee this is a cure all, but I am willing to try it.
If you are willing to pray for me, I love prayer warriors, because this will not be easy and it will take a lot of perseverance and strength.
If you just want to ge a cheerleader, let me know that too.
No start date is set yet. I’m still working thru those details with my accountability group. More to come. ♥️

Hello Friends! 👋🏻
It’s been a hot minute since being on my page. Im still here. So is my accountability group. So proud of them!
Just a little motivational post to show what consistent workouts and daily routines do for the winter “blahs”.
Just finished week 6!!! of my functional program and I’m seeing and feeling the strength in my core (hello back problems with age) and glutes.
I start my day with my pre workout/collagen drink and my “happy light” ☀️ because hello! I live in the dark tundra of the US and need more light during the winter months. 🥶
I meditate on the Word 📖 while drinking my pre workout and then move and strengthen my body from my home gym before I head to the clinic for the day. 🏥
I have been doing this routine for years. It just starts my day on a positive note and energizes me so I can be a better mom, nurse, friend, and wife. No commute to the gym needed because I honestly do not have time or the desire for winter driving. 🙄
Consistency creates habits. Habits that are good create a healthy life. ♥️
What does your morning routine look like? And if you don’t have a morning routine, what would you like your morning routine to look like?

6 days. 45 minutes each day. 😳
Hence the name 645. 🤯😂
Listen, I was so hesitant to commit to this program because who has time when you work outside the home full time and mom full time to 4 kids. 😅
A friend and fellow accountability partner said she wanted to do this program and I thought, push yourself, Laura. Wake up 15 minutes earlier and do the program at your pace.
I just finished week 3 and I AM LOVING THIS FORMAT. I’m learning the importance of proper stretching and proper form to prevent this 44 year old body from injuries. ♥️
Nope, not skinny. Nope, not beach body ready from society’s standards, but I am healthy. I am not obsessed with every bite I put in my mouth. That’s not healthy in my opinion. I know what I need to do and I know how to enjoy treats. Believe me! I KNOW HOW TO ENJOY TREATS!!!
I am without back pain and shoulder pain and knee pain for the first time of doing a moderate exercise program.
Muscle fatigue? Yes! But that’s a good pain because that kind of pain brings growth.
All this to say, push yourself sometimes. You may find you actually didn’t miss those extra 15 minutes of sleep to do a program that keeps your whole body healthy.

There is always room in our virtual accountability group that is ongoing. You get to pick your program and let me tell you, there is something for every single person at every single fitness level. Just message me and we can chat more.
Enjoy your weekend! ♥️

This is what a C-19 positive workout looks like. 😁
Yep, tested positive and I’m feeling fine. A little burning in my nose and dizzy sometimes, but that’s about it.
I’m still getting my workouts in because I can at home! Thanks to amazing trainers and Beachbody on Demand.
Getting ready for Punta Cana in 18 days! 🏝🏖
Anyone else have burning in their nose with c-19? 🔥
Anyone else going somewhere tropical this winter? 🏝🏖

Hey! Hey! Hey!🥳
I’m here! The holiday season is done. We are into the dreary cold days of January.

I finished 9 Week Control Freak with Autumn and the gang. Real review: I liked it, but ready for…..not so much of Autumn. ☺️So a few in my accountability group have started 645 with trainer Amoila Ceaser. It’s a slower start, but is very functional. There’s room for you in the group if you are interested.

Also with January comes resolutions to maybe workout more, Lise weight, be more intentional with devotions, etc. If working out and working on your health is a resolution, I’m here to help and I am teaming up with my friend Candice Bartel to get you the threads you may need to be active.
A beach 🏝 party virtually!!!!!!!!!!!
Let’s think warm thoughts and check out all the super amazing active wear that is available. I love every piece of clothing I have from this shop including my sports bras I use for my workouts. Whew! It was time to upgrade from my stinky old sports bras. The leggings are amazing too and tank tops for workouts.

Here is a link to check out the shop. Let me know if you want to join the beach party online for chances to win free stuff and ask all the questions. It’ll be fun!!!
