We were honored to welcome Kentucky Commissioner of Agriculture Shell and Kentucky Commissioner of Education Fletcher to our school as we celebrated agriculture education and student leadership.

During their visit, our high school agriculture students demonstrated being effective communicators by leading and engaging, hands on agriculture lessons for our elementary students. This unique experience gives our youngest learners the opportunity to discover how agriculture connects to their everyday lives, while allowing our high school students to put their knowledge, communication skills, and leadership abilities into action.

We are especially proud to showcase the incredible work of our high school students. Watching them teach, encourage, and inspire our elementary learners is a wonderful example of how education can create meaningful connections across grade levels.

Agriculture is an important part of Kentucky's past, present, and future. These vibrant learning experiences help our students understand that agriculture reaches far beyond the farm. It connects to science, technology, business, nutrition, the environment, and countless careers.

We are grateful to Commissioner Shell and Commissioner Fletcher for recognizing the importance of agriculture education and for visiting our school to see our students in action.
