Twenty-five years ago today, our nation experienced one of the darkest days in American history.
Nearly 3,000 people lost their lives. Families lost husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, and friends. First responders ran toward danger while others were running away. Ordinary men and women demonstrated extraordinary courage and selflessness.
We remember.
As a Christian school, we remember not simply because history tells us to, but because we are called to remember, to honor, and to pray.
We remember those who lost their lives.
We honor those who sacrificed to save others.
We pray for the families who still feel the pain of that day.
And we thank God for the courage and compassion displayed in the aftermath.
September 11 reminds us that life is fragile, that evil is real, and that our hope cannot ultimately rest in governments, nations, or earthly strength.
Our hope is in the Lord.

At FBCS, we strive to teach the next generation to remember the sacrifices of the past, to stand for what is right, to love their neighbors, to serve others selflessly, and above all, to place their trust in Jesus Christ.
