The 4th graders at Butler Elementary visited the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum for a hands-on learning experience yesterday.

They explored the museum during a scavenger hunt to find different cars and their names. They also took part in a crash lab where they reviewed the forces of motion and used Hot Wheels cars to test their predictions.

After a morning of learning, everyone headed to Rieke Park for lunch and recess. It was the perfect way to wrap up a great day!

Yesterday in Mrs. Rumple's Kindergarten WIN Time, these little Bobcats put their senses AND their throwing arms to work!

🌈 Sensory Writing Fun—They ditched the traditional pencils and practiced writing letters using all kinds of fun sensory materials. A little messy? Maybe. Worth it? ABSOLUTELY!

🎯 Letter Toss Challenge—They turned letter recognition and sounds into a friendly competition. Students had to identify a letter or its sound to earn a chance to toss a beanbag into the hoop. First team to 10 wins!

Between the cheering, teamwork, and hands-on fun, these kids were practicing letter formation, letter names, and sounds without even realizing how hard they were working.

Because sometimes the BEST learning happens when it feels like PLAY! 🐾

🎶🎸 It was a week of music and a little bit of ukulele practice in Mrs. Pierson’s class at Butler Elementary. Their students worked with the music teacher, Mrs. Pierson, to learn and practice playing the ukulele. Some were loving it, while others were still deciding how they felt about it…

Yesterday, Eastside Jr./Sr. High School students and staff spent the day giving back to the community through their annual Day of Caring!

Students headed out across the City of Butler to lend a helping hand at local organizations and community spaces. From serving others to taking on projects around town, our students showed what it means to be a good neighbor.

We are proud of the time, effort and kindness our students shared. Thank you to all of the organizations and community members who welcomed our students and gave them the opportunity to make a difference!
