Welcome to the new BCS Middle School Activity Room! The vision for this space is to give our students a place that can be used in many ways-a cooperative learning area, a quiet workspace for individual learning, and a fun, positive environment for after-school activities. Most importantly, it provides students with a comfortable place to gather, share ideas, and build relationships.
Thank you to Mrs. Carol Dorcy for brainstorming this idea and for working so hard at putting this room together. Also, a huge thank to the parents who sent in donations to help make this room a reality. We are so grateful for all the support we receive from the parents and for always investing in our children.

During our Ice Cream Social we were able to celebrate an extremely important member of our school. Mrs. Julie Truax has decided to retire as our school secretary. Julie has been with BCS for 21 years!! We are so excited to celebrate Julie as she begins this wonderful chapter!! After giving SO much of her time and dedication, she is able to spend some very special time with her grandson. While we will miss her like crazy, we couldn’t be happier for her and this precious opportunity to make memories with her family❤️.
We love you Mrs. Truax and we will be praying for you and your family during this transition.

What a fun night for our new kindergarten and preschool students! BCS PTG hosted a fun kickoff filled with activity tables, scavenger hunt, cookies, and even a quick bus ride for the kindergarteners…..how EXCITING!!

We are so blessed to welcome our newest little Saints to BCS. We pray these students have calm nerves and have so much fun their first few days of school. We know they will be welcomed with lots of love and excitement from our BCS community💛🖤

We have some VERY EXCITING news to share!!! Mrs. Elizabeth Baptiste has been named the NEW PRINCIPAL of Butler Catholic School!! For 17 years, she has poured her heart into our classrooms, our students, and our school community. Her deep faith, love for our school, and commitment to helping our students grow spiritually and academically make her the perfect person to lead our school into this new chapter!! Please join us in praying for wisdom, strength, and guidance as she leads our school. Also, that God continues to bless her and her family in the days ahead.

Mrs. Baptiste has shared a few words about this exciting new chapter…..

“Dear Butler Catholic School Families,

It is with tremendous gratitude, humility, and excitement that I
write to you as the new principal of Butler Catholic School.

For many of you, I need little introduction. Butler Catholic has
been my professional home for many years, and during that time, I have been blessed to teach your children, work alongside your families, celebrate their accomplishments, share in their challenges, and watch them grow in both knowledge and faith. To those families who already know me, I simply want to say thank you. Thank you for the trust and support you have given me throughout the years. I am incredibly grateful for that trust, and I look forward to continuing our relationship in this new role.

For those families I have not yet had the opportunity to know
well, I cannot wait to meet you and get to know your children and your family. And to those who are brand new to the BCS family this year, congratulations on your decision to choose Catholic education. You have chosen a community where your child will be known, loved, challenged, and encouraged to grow academically and, most importantly, in his or her relationship with Christ.

As I begin this new chapter, I cannot help but think of Sister
John Ann, who was a wonderful mentor to me and whose leadership had such an important influence on the educator I became. I am deeply humbled to have the opportunity to continue the legacy of faith, service, and academic excellence that she and so many others have helped build at Butler Catholic School.

Transitions naturally bring questions and change, but I choose to
see this transition as something more: a time of renewal. It is an opportunity to honor the traditions that have made BCS so special while also looking forward with energy, creativity, and hope. I believe deeply in this school, in our faculty and staff, in our families, and most especially in our students. Together, we will continue the tradition of faith-based academic excellence for which Butler Catholic is known while looking for new ways to help our school grow and flourish.

As principal, I want you to know that my door will be open. I
believe strong schools are built through relationships, communication,
collaboration, and trust. There will be much for us to accomplish together, and I look forward to listening to you, learning from you, celebrating with you, and working alongside you as we begin this next chapter.

I have loved Butler Catholic School for many years, and I am
profoundly grateful for the opportunity to serve the school I love in this new way. I ask for your prayers as I begin this responsibility, and please know that I will be praying for our students, families, faculty, and staff as well.

I cannot wait to welcome everyone back and begin what I know will
be an exciting year for BCS.
