Author Alane Adams and the Rise Up Foundation have expanded a grant to NCTE to provide scholarship funding for 100 K–12 educators to attend the 2026 NCTE Annual Convention! Apply here by September 12: https://bit.ly/4gyiEMM

This NCTE scholarship program, made possible by the Rise Up Foundation, has grown in size to support elementary, middle, and high school educators. It complements the NCTE Annual Convention Scholarships, which opened last week and are accessible to educators at all levels.

K–12 educators who are members of NCTE, including classroom teachers and librarians, are invited to apply for a Rise Up Foundation Scholarship. Recipients will receive full Convention registration, a luncheon ticket, and an invitation to a special new event hosted by Rise Up Foundation Founder Alane Adams to kick off for first-time attendees.

Thank you to Alane, her team, and the Rise Up Foundation for their continued commitment to NCTE and our educator community!

✏️ Writing is a challenge for both students and teachers.

Teachers support writers at all levels while finding time for meaningful instruction. Students often struggle to organize ideas, build sentences, and express themselves clearly.

The good news? Writing improves with explicit instruction, practice, and encouragement. With the right tools and daily opportunities, students grow into confident writers.
