Tiny hands once traced the sand,
Poured and polished, planned and scanned.
Buttons fastened, letters read,
Curious thoughts so gently led.

In our classrooms calm and bright,
Children learned with pure delight.
From washing tables to tying bows,
We watched such confidence bloom and grow.

Some dear friends now spread their wings,
Ready for the “big kid” things.
Kindergarten waits ahead,
With all the wisdom Montessori fed.

And some sweet faces we adore,
Will walk right through our classroom door.
When autumn leaves begin to fall,
We cannot wait to welcome all.

To every child who laughed and learned,
Who questioned, wondered, helped, and turned.
Small moments into joyful days,
You amazed us in so many ways.

Though summer sends us far apart,
Each child leaves a lasting mark.
We’ll miss your smiles, your hugs, your cheer,
Thank you for a beautiful year. 🌿✨

See you in August! Have a safe, happy, and joyful summer and best of luck to all of our friends moving on to their next step in life ♥️

Today, Mrs. Schaeffer’s class put on a beautiful performance for their families with a play titled The Sun Shines Everywhere. The students recited poems and sang songs that complemented the play, then finished their performance by receiving certificates to celebrate a wonderful end to the school year.
Congratulations to all of our students! Most will be moving on to “big kid school” in Kindergarten or first grade, and they have truly shown how ready they are for this exciting next step. 🎓

This week at Montessori, Mrs. Love’s class has been learning how to properly clean tables while also getting their bodies moving with stretches and dances.
Mrs. Schaeffer’s class grew their own “Grassy Head Buddies” and gave their grassy friends haircuts while practicing their scissor skills.
Tomorrow, Mrs. Schaeffer’s class will present their end-of-year performance for their families. Today, they held a dress rehearsal for Mrs. Love’s class, and it was a huge success!

We love when our students are excited to share a little piece of their lives and learning with us!
A student in Mrs. Love’s class brought in an American toad for the classes to observe and discuss. The students shared their observations about the toad and its habitat while learning more about the natural world around them.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Schaeffer’s class has been studying the continent of Asia. One student and her mom visited to share traditional Japanese kimonos and Vietnamese water puppets that connected beautifully to the class’s studies.
Hands-on experiences and student contributions make learning even more meaningful!

We had amazing weather for a fun year-end picnic at Alameda Park today! The students (and grown-ups) enjoyed running around, playing with friends, and sharing lunch together. We can’t believe the last day of school is May 27th. We still have lots to do before we wrap up the year!

In Montessori, everyday tasks become meaningful learning opportunities. Today the children practiced bed-making skills to foster independence, order, and responsibility, while manipulatives encouraged creativity, spatial awareness, and fine motor development.
