🌈 Hello everyone! Summertime is underway and we couldn’t be happier! β˜€οΈ

I wanted to take just a minute to touch base regarding our COVID 🦠 operations for the summer. We are currently still changing the kids clothes when they get there in the mornings and we are sanitizing everything daily and washing all bedding 2-3 times per week. 🧺

We are continuing to only allow the kids and staff inside the building at this time. πŸ‘¦πŸΌπŸ‘§πŸ»

If a child is sent home with a fever πŸ€’ of 100+ or any other symptoms, the child must be symptom free without medication for a minimum of 48 hours and a doctors note clearing the child is required before being allowed to return.

I would also like to remind everyone that outside toys, cups, food, blankets, etc are not 🚫 allowed inside the building.

We understand that everyone is frustrated with the COVID situation and wanting to get back to normal but we are going to continue to do everything we possibly can to ensure the health and safety of your families on our end.

We look forward to lots of sunny days ahead with lots of summer FUN!!!

We will be closed Monday, May 25th πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

This evening, Bates County released a Stay Home Order for our county until the end of April. I realize this brings a lot of uncertainty to everyone’s lives as to what that means for child care. Please rest assured, we are working to make sure we can continue to provide services. There may be a few changes to our day-to-day as we get this all figured out so please bear with us. We will be releasing information (hopefully tomorrow) regarding any changes that will go into effect beginning next week to insure we are following the order to the letter so we can get back to normal routines. Thank you all for being so patient and supportive during this time! We love and appreciate you all!!! β™₯️

COVID-19 Policy Update: As of today, Governor Parsons and all state agencies have listed daycares as essential businesses and we will operate until we are either forced to close by state agencies or until someone connected with the daycare is diagnosed. This will include a member of one of our children or staff or any member of their households. With that being said, given that confirmed cases are much closer to home for us, we will be implementing a few extra precautions. These are to protect both your children and our staff so we can stay open for as long as possible.

1. We will no longer be allowing drop offs or pick ups inside the building. When you arrive, a staff member will meet you outside. M.Y. staff will be signing children in and out until further notice. To expedite the process for pick ups, please text Cheri and Kassi with your expected arrival time and we will have your child ready when you arrive.

2. Please bring a full change of clothes for your child on Monday in a plastic bag. (Shirt, pants, underwear and socks) We will be washing said outfit in a Free and Clear detergent at the daycare and changing children’s clothes up on arrival as well. We will rotate out the outfits each day. (i.e. what they come in on Monday will be washed and worn on Tuesday, etc) I understand that many may view this as overkill but the germs from this virus live on our clothing. Staff will be following a similar practice daily.

3. We will also no longer be allowing backpacks, coats, blankets, stuffed animals, car seats, etc. into the building until further notice. It’s a very quick walk from the car to the building so your child’s exposure to the outside air without a coat will be minimal. If you would like to leave a jacket for your child at the daycare in the event we can go outside when it finally stops raining, please bring it with the clothes on Monday.

Again, I understand this may seem overboard but my main concern is for the health and safety of your children/families and my staff so please bear with us while we weather the COVID-19 storm. We want to stay open and provide care as long as we possibly can! Thank you all for being so understanding!!

Parents: I want to touch base with everyone real quick to address our protocol for COVID-19. Please keep in mind that the information is changing by the minute regarding the precautions we are required to take and that we may have to make last minute changes for the health and safety of your children and our staff.
* Daycare will remain open as normal until we are required by state to shut down or until someone directly connected to the daycare is diagnosed.
* If you don't feel comfortable having your child in a group setting such as ours, please just let me know that you plan to not attend. No judgement here! Do what is right for your family!
* If your child is showing ANY symptoms of illness, please keep them home!!!
* We are already sanitizing toys regularly due to our recent bout of illnesses but we will be stepping up our game even more to avoid contamination. The children will be hand washing and sanitizing throughout the day per usual.
* School-age kids: In the event the school closes due to the coronavirus threat, state has told us that because this is considered an "emergency closing" that we will be able to take a few school age kids outside of our standard 20 kid licensing as long as staffing allows for it. If you are needing care for your school age child, please check with me and I will do my best to make sure we can get you taken care of.
Again, we will be diligent in doing everything we possibly can on our end to keep everyone healthy.
