Coding Wizards Summer Camp Coding Wizards is a summer camp run during August of 2019 by Kimberly Meyerson, a teacher of over fourteen years with specialties in media and programming.

Did you know that the first computer programmer was a woman? Ada Lovelace wrote the first machine algorithm for a machine that, unfortunately, existed only on paper due to lack of funding to build it. That was in the 1840s. Now, almost 200 years later women are still underrepresented in the field of computer science.

Welcome to Coding Wizards! We are a Tynker summer camp that will be running multiple sessions during the month of August (dates below) where students can learn the basics of coding in a fun, engaging environment. Our camps are designed to inspire young learners to create their own games and stories in a relaxed, positive atmosphere.

This exciting way to get your kids into their computers instead of just on them is presented by Kimberly Meyerson, a teacher of fourteen years and a lover of children all her life. As a Library Media Specialist, she is well versed in computers and programming and would love to teach your kids some tricks during these one-week long summer programs.
