🍎🍏 Apple Tasting! 🍏🍎

Today we put our taste buds to the test! We tried Granny Smith, Red Delicious, and Golden Delicious apples. Everyone was brave enough to try a piece of each kind and see which one they liked best! 😋

We talked about the different colors, textures, and flavors—and of course, enjoyed a yummy little apple snack along the way! 🍎

Did you know the /s/ sound is a long sound? Ms. Megan likes to call it the snake 🐍 sound.
Today, in Pre-K they had their first group speech class. They practiced writing S, making the sound and then blending that /S/ sound with other letters.
We can't wait until next month for her to return!

Our Preschool friends have been loving our weekly Mystery Bag! 🕵️‍♀️

We use our senses to feel the mystery item through the bag and make our best guesses—although we leave taste out of this one!

Today’s mystery was an apple! 🍎

Most of our friends guessed a ball or a circle. Such a fun way to practice our five senses and making predictions!

🍎🍏A is for ah,ah, Apple!🍏🍎

Pre-K started their Sound Workshop this week with the introduction of their alphabet curriculum. The kids learned that A makes two sounds, /ah/ and /a/. When saying the A sound, your voice box is on, meaning you can feel it vibrate your throat when holding your hand against it. Some words that start with A are apple, alligator, and apricot.
