The 2026 Jimmy Ellis Training Weekend is officially in the books, and we simply cannot say THANK YOU enough.
An event of this size doesn’t happen because of one person or one organization. It happens because an incredible group of people come together with a shared mission—to provide firefighters with the best training possible while continuing to honor the life, legacy, and brotherhood of Jimmy Ellis.
To our sponsors and supporters—thank you for believing in this weekend and making it possible. Your generosity allows us to bring instructors, equipment, resources, and opportunities to firefighters who travel from across the country to be here.
To the facilities, departments, businesses, and property owners who opened their doors and allowed us to train—thank you. Without quality locations to conduct realistic, hands-on training, this weekend simply could not happen.
To our instructors and participants—thank you for traveling to Pittsburgh, putting in the work, sharing knowledge, and bringing the energy that makes this weekend what it is. Nearly 350 firefighters from 16 states and Canada came together this year with one goal: to get better at the job.
And to the army of volunteers, helpers, coordinators, drivers, setup crews, cleanup crews, fundraising crews, photographers, support personnel, and everyone working behind the scenes—you are the reason everything comes together. Hundreds of hours of work happen before the first firefighter ever arrives, and even more happen throughout the weekend.
What started four years ago with approximately 60 local firefighters has grown into something bigger than we ever imagined.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has become part of the Jimmy Ellis Training Weekend family.
Most importantly, we continue to honor Jimmy and progress his legacy.
Thank you for making the 2026 Jimmy Ellis Training Weekend one we will never forget.
See you in 2027!
