The road to the state championship begins today!

After earning a third-place finish in the WPIAL playoffs, our Girls Softball team is headed to Erie to begin PIAA Championship play.

The Trojanettes will take on Harbor Creek High School at 4:00 PM in the first round of the state playoffs, carrying with them the hard work, determination, and team-first mentality that have defined their season.

Good luck to our players and coaches as they represent North Catholic on the state stage. We're proud of all you've accomplished and can't wait to see what comes next.

What is the most important object in world history?

That was the question facing students in this year's AP World History Debate Finals. After randomly selecting an object, students researched, prepared, and defended their case before their classmates, arguing why their object had the greatest impact on world history.

Congratulations to our finalists:

- Lydia Pierce & Ava Sparacino, who won the 4th period debate arguing for silver
- Peyton Book & Jack Steineman, who won the 6th period debate arguing for camels
- Anna Morris & Maggie Killian, who won the 2nd period debate arguing for the caravel — the sailing ship used during the Age of Exploration

After advancing to the championship round, Anna and Maggie's argument for the caravel earned them the title of overall debate champions. Their names will be engraved on the AP World History Debate plaque displayed outside the library.

Experiences like this challenge students to think critically, communicate persuasively, and defend complex ideas — skills that prepare them to lead both in the classroom and beyond.

The Golden Apple Award recognizes educators who demonstrate excellence in teaching, dedication to Catholic education, and a lasting impact on their students and school community. The award is made possible through the generosity of the Donahue Family Foundation.

Ms. Myron exemplifies these qualities each and every day through her passion, leadership, and commitment to her students. We are incredibly proud of her and grateful for the difference she makes at North Catholic every day!

Last night, we gathered as a school community to celebrate Baccalaureate Mass with the Class of 2026.

Surrounded by family, friends, faculty, and classmates, our seniors reflected on the journey that brought them to this moment and the faith, friendships, and experiences that shaped them along the way.

Congratulations, Seniors! We will be cheering you on tonight at Graduation!

A little extra support before finals week.

Yesterday, students had the chance to spend time with therapy dogs on campus as they prepare for final exams later this week.

Moments like these are a reminder of the importance of community, balance, and supporting the whole student — academically, emotionally, and personally.
Good luck to all of our students as finals begin.

A great first day at the Midwest Championships for NC Crew, with two boats advancing to finals tomorrow.

Beyond the racing, one of the most meaningful moments of the day came as our team partnered with St. Mary’s Orchard Lake to organize a Mass at the course for teams and spectators who wished to attend. Our students served as readers and cantors, sharing their faith and talents in a powerful way.

We are proud of the way these young men and women continue to represent North Catholic — in competition, leadership, and faith.

Good luck in finals tomorrow!
