SUPER SENIOR 💫 Sam Evans
Now that Nationals and our 2026 season has come to an end … we remember Sam Evans Super Senior and her final season at Evolve Dance Complex

Sam started dancing at the age of 1 when she would pull herself up to dance to “Single Ladies” by Beyoncé over and over again. She started in gymnastics at age 4. At 5 she attended a “Bring a Friend to Dance Day” with her cousin and cried when she couldn’t take tap because she didn’t have tap shoes, saying “you have to let me go in so I can make all my dreams come true!”
She took her first jazz and tap classes at 6 and the rest is history. By 12 she started to show a strong interest in choreography, competing her own solos by age 13.
Sam joined EDC in 2023. We were mesmerized by her unique, stylistic performance quality and choreography style. A passionate talented and strong storyteller through movement, uniquely her own, leaving audiences all over wanting to see more. We loved watching her grow over the years into the confident, dynamic dancer that she is today.
Sam was also named a Radix top elite protege winner in 2025 and traveled/assisted the amazing RADIX Dance Convention faculty for the 2026 dance season.
Sam was also selected as a 2026 YoungArts award winner with distinction in Choreography. The only choreography winner with distinction from thousands of applicants.
YoungArts is a national foundation for the advancement of artists—was established in 1981 by Lin and Ted Arison to identify exceptional young artists, amplify their potential, and invest in their lifelong creative freedom. YoungArts provides space, funding, mentorship, professional development and community throughout artists’ careers. Entrance into this prestigious organization starts with a highly competitive application for talented artists ages 15–18, or grades 10–12, in the United States that is judged by esteemed discipline-specific panels of artists through a rigorous adjudication process. Her awards and accolades over the years are too numerous to count
We are so proud of all of your accomplishments Sam and we know you will do great things with your endless amount of gifts and talents!
