Restorative yoga is a type of yoga that focuses on relaxation and rejuvenation. It involves holding gentle poses for extended periods of time, usually between 5-20 minutes, using props like blankets, bolsters, and blocks to support the body in each pose. The goal of restorative yoga is to promote deep relaxation, release tension in the body, and calm the mind.

Restorative yoga typically involves fewer poses than other forms of yoga, and the poses are designed to be comfortable and easy to hold. Some common poses include gentle backbends, forward folds, and twists. The use of props helps to provide support and prevent strain on the body, allowing practitioners to stay in each pose for longer periods of time.

Restorative yoga is a great practice for anyone looking to reduce stress and anxiety, improve sleep quality, and promote overall wellness. It can be especially beneficial for people who are recovering from injury or illness, or who are dealing with chronic pain or fatigue.

🌟 DANIELLE MARTUCCI YEO FEATURED TEACHER 🌟

The yoga practice gifted me the space to find discipline and have better boundaries. When I decided to become a yoga teacher, I knew I wanted to hold space for others to do the same. Yoga is a practice of Self Realization.

I genuinely did not have a strong foundation of who I was before I started my yoga practice. I feel a lot of people come to yoga for that same reason, they are looking for clarity within themselves.

That is why I enjoy teaching yoga, witnessing students have these incredibly intimate moments with themselves and continuing to find peace within as they show up time and time again.
