We saw a recent community post with questions about daycare communication, and we wanted to take a moment to share a little clarity about our communication and pick up routines especially as we head into the summer.
Our days here are full of play, snuggles, routines, and lots of hands on care. Because we stay actively involved with the children, there are moments when teachers can’t message right away — safety and comfort always come first.
State licensing rules require teachers to keep phones put away during class time and we balance that rule with keeping families informed by sending most updates during nap time, when the room is calm and supervision allows for it. At pickup we’ll always give you a warm snapshot of your child’s day.
You may also notice a few new friendly faces at pickup. With summer beginning, we’re welcoming back seasonal staff and getting everyone acclimated to each room. Every person you meet is part of our TLC “village,” learning our routines and building relationships with the children so they feel supported all day long.
If anything ever feels unclear or you’re wondering about your child’s day, please come straight to us. We’re a small, home like center built on relationships, and we are more than happy to have those conversations with you!
We’re grateful for the trust you place in us every day. Thank you for being part of our TLC family.
