REMINDER: PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES NEXT WEEK

Did you know parent involvement often drops from 93% in elementary school to about 20% in middle and high school?

It is natural to step back as kids get older and seek independence, but the reality is our teenagers need our combined support now more than ever.

As students navigate 6th through 12th grade, they aren't just learning subjects—they are forming habits, setting life goals, and discovering what they are truly capable of achieving. Teachers can teach the content, but your expectations, your encouragement, and your partnership with the school are what empower kids to reach beyond their grasp.

When parents and teachers align, magic happens. Here is why showing up for middle and high school conferences matters:

🔹 High Expectations Drive Success: When teenagers see their parents and teachers setting the bar high together, they step up. Your belief in their potential directly shapes their ambitions.

🔹 Reaching Beyond the Comfort Zone: Adolescence is the time to push boundaries safely—tackling harder classes, handling bigger challenges, and building resilience. We coach them best when we coach them together.

🔹 Independence ≠ Isolation: Older kids might say they "don't need you there," but showing up sends a silent, powerful message: Your future matters, and I am in your corner.

🔹 Connecting the Bigger Picture: From study habits and emotional well-being to graduation tracks and post-secondary dreams, a 10 to 15-minute conversation ensures we are all rowing in the same direction. When necessary, you can schedule an additional day and time with your child's teacher(s).

Let’s let all of our kids know that their growth is worth showing up for!

Times: 3:30-7:00 & BLB; 3:00-6:30 and BHS
