Hello everyone! Please do not forget that we have a class reunion this Thursday the 2nd at Littler Joes in Grand Blanc starting at 2 o’clock. We will be discussing contact methods, budget and methods of collection for the event. Please attend. All are welcome and we will have a great time together.
The class of 74 reunion planning group needs to have another meeting. The event is less than 8 months away! We’re going to have a meeting on November 2nd at Little Joes starting at 2, if you can attend. We will discuss getting in contact with more people and how to set the budget and collect money for the event. We have some exciting ideas for this that will involve everyone who wants to participate. It’ll be a fun get together.
Hi Everyone! Don’t forget we have a Reunion today at Little Joes in Grand Blanc starting at 2 pm. Hope to see everyone who can attend. Discussion about volunteers and preparation work are on the agenda. We may be in the main room or back room. Please ask and they will direct you.
Hello everyone! Our next meeting for the class of 74 reunion will be this Tuesday the 5th at Little Joes at 2 o’clock. Please RSVP that you will attend so we can let them know how many to plan for. We will be discussing volunteers for various jobs that will need to be completed. Don’t be afraid to come and help. It’s your reunion and you can be involved! See you there!
Hello everyone l! We hope your summer has been great!
This post is a summary from our last meeting based on our polling results. Some decisions have been made using that polling.
We asked where you’d like the reunion held. With 66% of you saying restaurant, the committee agreed that the Redwood Steakhouse would be the best location. They have a room that will seat 70-80 (50% of you said you will bring one person). It will not cost us due to the co-owner’s kindness. Seating would be open concept so everyone can mingle at their leisure and sit together!
You voted to have food by 70% in favor. It was decided that a 3 choice plan would be best (at a present cost of $35 per person) paying at the restaurant. Also, a cash bar would be offered. An appetizer plate could be purchased as well.
Summer was the time (48%) most voters want to have the reunion. Research was done with the Lodge/Steakhouse and June 27th was selected. It was important that a date be locked in ASAP. The time is tentatively set at between 5;30-9:30ish! Well within my bedtime btw!😉
Other considerations from the polling was-1. People needing accomidationis (18%). 2. Entertainment, (62%) of you said none was needed. 3. A visit to the old high school -(77%) were in favor, which would happen on the day of the reunion.
The Dress code for the event would be casual. The overall cost is yet TBD, but with 27% saying keep it below $100 and 70% saying anything reasonable, we feel our target price of $100 per person will be very close to budget.
HELP IS STILL VERY MUCH NEEDED! Sue Peel and LeeAnn Parish have volunteered to put together at digital history collage for each and everyone to see. They need your pictures to do that. You can contact them and send your pictures to [email protected] and [email protected]. Sue has also offered to put together an invitation. Chuie Andes has volunteered to put together a memorial for those who have passed away.
We need people for other things and ideas which continue to be generated. We will try to fill those at the next meeting so please be there. 50% polled said they only want to be there. Decorations, contacting to confirm attendance, speakers (President Jeff), and more. It is your 50th class reunion help make it special. Please volunteer to help any way you can.
Our next meeting will be in the middle of September, time and place to be set upon availability of location. If you have ideas, suggestions or just want to be heard, please comment on it here or come to the meeting. We hope to see a big turnout.
Welcome back everyone! Our next meeting of the Class of 74 reunion will be June 3rd at Littel Joes in Grand Blanc at 3! We will be going over the results of the poll taken. If you haven’t done this survey please do so now to be counted. If you cannot do the poll online please contact me directly at 810-241-2429 and we will include your answer. Everyone who can make it, please RSVP to allow for Little Joes to have a head count. Thanks to everyone and we will be looking forward to getting together again!
Hello everyone! Now that most are back from Southern destinations, it’s time to have another meeting re: the class reunion. Would Saturday the 27th of this month work? Or June 3rd. We have the results of the poll and will be discussing what our classmates desire in a reunions. Please let us know as soon as possible if you can attend either date, so we can set the meeting up! Thanks for responding in advance and we are all looking forward to the discussion!
We had another successful meeting last Saturday the 5th. In attendance was Ted Houghtaling, Al Marcum, Chulie Andes, Jackie Schilling, Jack Gann, Eddie Wilson, Bill and Leanne Parish! We missed those who could not attend. Here is a summary of what we talked about. There was further talks about getting in touch with ones who we have not been able to find. If you know someone who you think hasn’t been contacted, please feel free to invite them to the next meeting or give them the page info. Two major items were decided on. 1)We will be putting off our next Meeting until Mid-January because of the holiday season. 2)We will be sending out a survey on this page (and in person if necessary) with questions pertaining to our reunion. The questions will cover type of event, location, food, entertainment, Time and Date, etc! When you see the questionnaire (poll) on this page, please fill it out. The method could be a Poll, a copy and paste back to Facebook or just an answer then submit format. The style is still being put together. Information will come with the post of how to do it. If anyone is familiar with doing this on Facebook, please contact Rick. I think he could use the help😎! Results of the poll will be posted and used as a baseline for how the reunion will be planned, so please take the time to answer and return. In conclusion, the meeting lasted 3 1/2 hours with lots of laughs and stories told. We’d love to have more/most fellow classmates come (if you can) and enjoy the fellowship we are having.
Don’t forget that we have the Class Reunion meeting today at 3:00 Little Joes in Grand Blanc. Parking is in the back!!!
