Let's keep the summer reading vibes going with a classic tune turned into a beautiful book! 🎶📚
Echo Park Elementary School Principal Logan Schultz knows literacy is all around us and reading music lyrics builds literacy skills. He's sharing a very special recommendation: Forever Young by the legendary Bob Dylan, with fantastic illustrations by Paul Rogers.
Inspired by the beloved song, this picture book is a story of hope for children as they grow up. It shares a timeless message about doing good, staying strong, and always keeping a joyful, forever young spirit. It’s a wonderful read-aloud (or sing-along!) for families to share together. 🎸💛
What is a favorite song that your family loves to sing together? Let us know in the comments! 👇

Meet Mrs. Schmit, 3rd Grade Teacher. This year, I’m most excited about building a strong classroom community where every student feels known, valued, and excited to learn, grow, and discover their strengths. Our family is excited that disc golf has become a new activity, giving us a fun way to spend time together, get outside, and enjoy a little friendly competition.

Meet Ms. Larson previously, but now Mrs. Plueger. I got married on August 1 in Eau Claire, WI, where my husband and I first met. Best day ever! This year I am looking forward to continue building meaningful connections with students and celebrate their growth, progress, and confidence throughout the year.

It was all about Penguin Cafe today in our multilingual classroom! 🐧☕🍽️

Our kindergarten students practiced taking orders, reading menus, and naming the delicious items they'd like to eat. Some even stepped into the role of chef and proudly wore the chef hats! 👨‍🍳👩‍🍳

What a fun and authentic way to build language skills, confidence, and creativity.

Third graders shared their Public Service Announcement (PSA) projects!

After researching important water issues, students created posters, wrote songs, and produced commercials to educate others about water pollution, water conservation, the challenges faced by people without reliable access to clean water, and how all of Earth's water is connected.

Using facts, persuasive messages, and creative presentations, students encouraged others to take action and make a difference. Their projects demonstrate how even small actions can help protect one of our most valuable resources—water.
