We believe that middle schoolers thrive in a supportive and accepting environment. At AMS, every person is important. With a maximum of 27 students, we recognize each student for their individual personalities, interests and skills. Elizabeth Morgan created Arthur Morgan School in 1962 as a place for middle schoolers to be themselves. Based on the developmental understanding that middle schoolers

are socially motivated and have a strong desire to be part of community, Arthur Morgan School fosters the creative and intellectual strengths of its students to help them recognize and find their place in the world around them.
