Here's the description: The number and types of stressors related to heading back to school are unprecedented, as is the mental toll it is taking on adults and youth. As adults, how can we manage the barrage of emotions we’re feeling? How can we support the students in our lives as many are returning to in-person school for the first time in over one year. For others, the new Delta variant and conversations about masking are adding to the stress overload. I this session, Mental Health America of Fauquier County will share strategies we can all use.

SAFE KIDS WNC!
Safe Kids WNC, led by Mission Children's Hospital, is committed to reducing accidental injury among children in western North Carolina, and focuses on the major areas where most injuries occur: traffic injury (passenger, pedestrian and bicycle), poisoning, choking/suffocation, drowning, falls, fire and burns. Together with their coalition partners (including fire departments, EMS, law enforcement, educators, medical professionals and business leaders), they are able to reach families who have a need for education about keeping their children safe in a variety of settings.

♥️👉 One of their outreach programs includes providing car seats for those in need, and/or assistance from Certified Technicians to help with installation of your car seat. If you need a car seat, but cannot afford one, or already have a car seat, but need help with installation, see their flier below detailing how to get a car seat and where to go in Asheville and the surrounding area for assistance.
