I’ve been playing guitar for 35 years. I thought I knew the basics of everything; you know, rhythm playing, soloing, writing pretty good riffs and guitar breaks. Well, what this book does, really well, is show you what you don’t know. What I mean is, there are a lot of books and videos and courses that teach the core, common theory. This book opens up your understanding of the fretboard by presenting it in a unique way I’ve never seen. When you begin to see chord shapes, for example, and the individual notes in the scale and how they repeat and all relate; it’s mind blowing. It takes a little bit of patience to get through it. It takes some time, for sure. But if you want to really understand the fretboard in a refreshing, eye-opening way, this book has a lot to give.
