MN Boys High School Volleyball Find out the latest happenings regarding boys high school volleyball in MN!

During the Fall 2017 Season, Walt Weaver gathered a small group from Lakeville North, Lakeville South, and Shakopee who, along with the support of Hugh McCutcheon, have been meeting to discuss implementing Boys Volleyball in MN high schools. Walt Weaver and Hugh McCutcheon have been advocating at a more global level with USA Volleyball and the local North Country Region. There is strong interest and commitment to making a proposal requesting the MSHSL accept Boys HS Volleyball into their organization. Schools intend to implement teams in high schools for the upcoming SPRING 2018 School Season. We are hoping this will be the start of a historical time as Boys High School Volleyball explodes onto the MN Sports Scene in our high schools!!!

NFHS reports declining numbers in football, baseball, and basketball reflect changing interests in boys’ athletics. At the same time, boys’ volleyball has seen unprecedented growth of 76.3%, the highest among all sports over the past decade.

The data highlights a clear trend: schools that invest in volleyball are investing in future.
