Please be praying for our 1st grade teacher, Mrs. McClain, as she and several from her church are on a mission in Africa! She is serving with her church in Kenya to minister to boys and girls by being the hands and feet of Jesus through service, worship, VBS, and much more.

Join me in praying for Mrs. McClain:

Father in Heaven, we lift up Mrs. McClain to you and ask that you would protect her, provide for her, and prepare the way before her on this journey so that Jesus may be glorified. We pray that you will guide her and go before her and be with her and her family as she answers the call to go and serve. Lord, we thank you for her servant’s heart and ask God that you would touch the lives of many families and the hearts of young boys and girls in Kenya for the Gospel. Father, we ask that you bless her, keep her, and make your face shine upon her, and we pray this in the powerful and preeminent name of Jesus, our Savior, amen.

We’re praying for you, Mrs. McClain!

Reading detectives at work! 🔎📚 Yesterday’s text feature scavenger hunt was a total success. Our 3rd graders crushed it by locating various text features, hunting down page numbers, and citing real examples right from the text! Way to go, readers! 🌟

Welcome to Pizzeria 4th Grade! 🍕👨‍🍳

To wrap up their fractions unit, students became chefs to create pizzas based on customer orders. They proved that math is everywhere—especially in the kitchen! So proud of these problem-solvers. 📐✨

What a wonderful time at chapel this week! Our upper building worship was led by Mrs. Macie, we continued our year-long series in John as students heard the preaching of God’s Word from Mr. Caleb, and our weekly time of prayer was truly powerful.

Please read this testimonial from Mr. Caleb concerning this week’s chapel:

From Mr. Caleb: “We have heard many prayer requests from students in the classroom these past couple of weeks. It’s easy to say, “I’ll pray for you” and dismiss it as another item on the agenda or something that you simply ask someone about the next time that you see them. What I saw in our upper chapel this week was truly beautiful-students sharing their burdens with one another and praying for one another. On top of that, I work alongside teachers who will drop whatever important task that they have going on to be there and to pray for their students whenever they bring up a need. During our prayer time in chapel, I told them about a personal story of mine in which I found out recently that one of my closest friends from college is unexpectedly facing open heart surgery soon. It’s a very difficult situation that I fully trust God with, and I shared this with them in hopes that they might understand what it means to carry one another’s burdens through prayer. Not even 3 minutes later when I’m walking around the gym and I’m praying with students, a 5th grader gives me a friendly nudge and says, “I’m really sorry about your friend, I’m praying for him.” I sought after the Lord to minister to middle/high school students through the preaching of John 1, and in addition I was ministered to and blessed as well. Never underestimate the power of prayer. When we humble ourselves and go before the Lord and give Him every worry and every need, He goes before us, He cares for us, and He will answer us. It is of critical importance to bring our requests to God individually, but it may indeed be the sweetest when we get to do so together. This is especially true when you see students dropping every care and worry that they have and bringing those burdens right before God Almighty.”

We truly serve a Gracious God and a wonderful Savior. Blessed be the name of Jesus.

What a deeply special day at school! 🤍 Yesterday, our hearts were so full welcoming our wonderful grandparents into the building for a special performance in their honor.

We also gathered together around the flagpole for See You at the Pole, lifting up our students, families, schools, churches, and nation in prayer. Grateful for moments that root us in faith and connect the generations. 🙏✨
