Harney County Farm Bureau in collaboration with Crane FFA and Harney County Extension will have Tractor Safety Training again this summer for youth ages 14 through 17 that are interested in agriculture work over the summer.

The class will be $50 unless you are an FFA member. FFA members please reach out to Clay in the Extension Office for your discount code at [email protected].

The online work must be completed before you come to the hands-on portion on June 6th at Crane Union High School located at 43277 Crane-Venator Rd, Crane, OR 97732.

We are conducting focus groups to hear about your honest opinions on higher education. This project will require focus groups across rural Oregon to gather qualitative data. The findings from this work will help Oregon State University and higher education institutions across Oregon to better serve rural communities.

Harney County Emergency Management has opened a CLEAN AIR SHELTER at the Senior Center for those who need to escape the smoke. They do need volunteers to help manage it. If you can help alittle or alot, please call Vicky from Public Health at 541-589-1593.
