Today, September 15, marks the beginning of Hispanic-American Heritage Month! During this time, we celebrate the many contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. This observance runs from September 15-October 15, a period that sees the independence days of several Hispanic countries, including Mexico, Costa Rica, El Salvador, and Chile.

September is Sickle Cell Awareness Month! Join us and the College of Nursing & Health Sciences on September 23, in MedEd 200 & on Zoom, for "Blood, Bias, and Breakthroughs: Rethinking the Sickle Cell Experience" with Dr. Matthew Shiel, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Larner College of Medicine, and a pediatric hematologist at Golisano Children's Hospital.
