UVM Study Abroad

UVM students participated in 7 different Travel Study programs over spring break, focusing on animals, geography, health, climate change, and more! Travel Study programs are short-term study abroad programs led by UVM professors over winter break, spring break, and summer. To learn more visit our website (link in bio).

UVM Semester in South Korea has begun!

Our first cohort of students have arrived in Seoul to spend the semester studying and living at Korea University – this is Steph checking out her new home for the semester. KU is a top university in South Korea (A “SKY” university), and our students will be living in on-campus residence halls, taking courses across the university offerings, and exploring Seoul this spring.

Gilman Program Application Is Now Open!
Thinking about study abroad? Receive up to $5,000 (or up to $8,000 if you’re studying a Critical Need Language) to go abroad as a college student if you’re a U.S. citizen and Federal Pell Grant recipient! If you’re interested in conducting STEM-related research while studying or interning abroad, you could receive an additional $1,000 by applying for the new STEM supplemental award. Gilman-McCain Scholarship Apply Today!
The Gilman-McCain Scholarship application is also open! Receive $5,000 if you're a child or spousal dependent of an active duty military member and receive any type of Title IV Federal Financial Aid to go abroad. Gilman-McCain applicants are also eligible for the supplemental Critical Need Language Awards (of up to $3,000), and the STEM supplemental awards (of up to $1,000). Welcome back to the UVM campus! Please consider attending the Office of International Education's Spring 2025 Study abroad Fair, which is just a few weeks away! This event offers the opportunity to explore the wide range of study abroad options available and learn how a study abroad experience fits into your academic and professional goals.
