Bushido Judo and Ju-Jitsu Academy Bushido Judo and Ju-Jitsu Academy was Founded in 1995 by 6th Degree Black Belt Sensei Darian Stokes

Bushido Judo and Ju-Jitsu Academy has been teaching youth and adults the virtues and discipline of Martial Arts for over 29 years, and
is dedicated to insuring that the young people of our society have the opportunity to become more positive and productive
members in their communities through the Martial Arts philosophy. Although our non-profit status in newly formed, we have produced great young

athletes including State, National, International and World Champions. We are currently nurturing the dreams of some of our young students to become Olympic athletes. We also sponsor children and travel monthly to Judo tournaments, seminars and Martial Arts clinics across North Carolina, and neighboring states. We take our students to Regional and National, and International level competition in other states and plan to enter students. Some of our programs and events have made the local newspaper and community bulletins.

Bushido Judo and Ju-Jitsu Academy is at the University of Tennessee for their State Championships with Competitors Judo Aaron Allison Johnny Chen and Charlie Olson and his mom and dad Heidi Mielke Olson and Damon Olson as well as Alex Kurcan Representing the Dojo. Wish us Luck!

I don't get on Facebook as much as I used to except to share a post of some event, however for this I will make a special exception. This man was pure gold in human form. Everyone I introduced to him was in awe of his every word, every action and his very presence.
I have a heavy heart but I will share a funny moment as I know he would prefer that over sadness. Once while visiting his dojo with a handful of my students years ago, he pulled me to the side and asked how my dojo was doing. After a brief conversation he ended it with this advice... "If you ever want to make a small fortune, then start with a large one and open a dojo". I found that the true fortune earned was his contribution to the martial arts community, his words of wisdom, his hospitality, inspiration and the honor and privilege of knowing him. Rest Sensei. I pray that those of us you have inspired can make you proud.
