Malayaka House

Last Saturday marked Uganda’s first General Cleaning Day! Going forward, every citizen over the age of 18 is expected to take part in cleaning and caring for their local community on the last Saturday of each month.

We’re thrilled to see this initiative take shape, and our kids loved doing their part to help beautify our little corner of the world. It was a wonderful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together to care for the place we all call home.

Follow Jimmy as he walks you through our many farm projects, in honor of Earth Day. Cassava, passion fruit, wheat, eggplant, eggs from our chickens and ducks, honey from our bee hives, and delicious catfish from our fish ponds. Sustainable, organic farming at Malayaka House allows us to reduce costs, feed our kids nutritious food, and protect our beautiful earth.
