Meet our librarian! We are pleased to welcome Mrs. Laura Gann to Freedom. She says, "I am so excited about becoming Freedom’s Librarian! My family joined the FCA family this past year and has been overwhelmingly blessed by being a part of it! My husband, Darren, and I have 3 kids here at Freedom, Harmony (8th grade), Kayden (7th grade), and Zuri (5th grade). We also have Lexi (6th grade) who is a student at Gateway, and Mary Ella who is expecting her first baby in November!
I received my BS in Religion from Greensboro College and my Master’s in Christian Education from Pfeiffer University. I love to read lots of different types of books but my favorite genres are Christian Fiction and Historical Fiction! When we aren’t at school our family loves to travel! We took a 6.5 week camping trip this summer through 10 states!!”
One of my favorite Bible verses is;
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Paula Crotts as our new Office Manager! Mrs. Crotts previously served in Grace Chapel’s preschool program and we are excited to have her on board. She says, “I am thrilled to become part of the Freedom Christian Academy family! It is exciting to have the opportunity to support the FCA community and its outreach. I am married to my husband, Paul, and am a devoted mother to three grown children, a grandmother, and a great-grandmother. My household can be lively, rounding out with two mini Australian Shepherds, a calico cat, a 28-year-old green conure bird, two elderly ducks, and a few quarter horse mares. In my free time, I enjoy feeding outdoor birds, squirrels, and am a hummingbird enthusiast. It was also my calling and honor to retire from a career in emergency services.
Raised by my parents in church, I was blessed to attend a Christian school from middle through high school. Participating in children’s ministries and substitute teaching have also been lifelong passions. Joining FCA feels like a wonderful coming-full-circle moment, aligning perfectly with my prayers to live a life of purpose and intention. I truly appreciate this opportunity to serve at FCA!”
