We’re hiring! AAG is offering paid internships from October 7 to December 20.
Interns will be paid $700 on a monthly basis between October and December 2024, working 10 hours per week, as they partner with a core staff team to work on ongoing projects, acting as a collaborator in creation of ideas and content.
As the AAG's Media and Science Communication Intern, you will assist in developing and implementing communication strategies to promote geographic and scientific literacy. This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in science communication, public engagement, and outreach. As a Program and Advocacy Support Intern, you will work closely with our Research Enterprise, and Policy, Advocacy, and Engagement Teams to conduct primary information gathering to support the buildout of the AAG’s Geography Guide. You will additionally support work with the advocacy team that will require you delve into critical issues such as academic freedom, and changing place names.
