What’s up?
Aerials. 🚒

Our Driver Operator–Aerial (D/O- Aerial) students have been spending their evenings getting hands-on with Aerial apparatus operations.

We hear the class is going well.

Actually, we hear it’s outstanding.

Some might even say it’s above average.

Okay, that one was a bit of a stretch.

We’ll stop before this gets out of hand… or out of reach. 😅

Between Fire & EMS classes, training, prepping for State Practicals and the NREMT, and plenty of time spent out on the training grounds, our students have kept the HERO Center busy all Summer long - and Fall is already off to a pretty good start!

So before we get too far into the semester, here are a few of our favorite shots from the last couple of months. 🚒🚑

Different classes. Different skills. Different reasons for being here. But a whole lot of learning happening along the way.

Words cannot fully express the gratitude and appreciation we feel following yesterday’s 25th Anniversary of September 11th Memorial Ceremony at the HERO Center.

Seeing our students, employees, First Responders, Veterans, community members and distinguished guests come together to remember, honor and reflect made every moment of planning worthwhile.

Our sincerest thanks to our guest speakers for sharing their experiences and powerful messages; to everyone who participated in the ceremony; to those who helped behind the scenes; and to every person who joined us in honoring the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call and all those who continue to be affected by the events of September 11th, 2001.

It was a morning filled with remembrance, unity and gratitude - and one we will not soon forget.

25 years later, we continue to honor their courage, their sacrifice and their legacy.

One of our Summer 2026 EMT-B (Emergency Medical Technician-Basic) classes decided to celebrate the semester with a student-planned potluck—and let's just say, they understood the assignment! 🍽️🚑

An EMT-B (Emergency Medical Technician-Basic) is an entry-level emergency medical provider trained to respond to medical emergencies, provide patient care, and safely transport patients to medical facilities.

We're incredibly proud of all of our Fire & EMS Program students for the hard work, dedication, and teamwork they've demonstrated throughout the semester. The finish line is in sight—keep up the great work! 💙

We invite you to join us as we honor the 25th Anniversary of September 11th, 2001.

This remembrance ceremony will include moments of silence and speakers from local agencies as we reflect on the lasting impact of September 11th.

The ceremony will take place at the HERO Center alongside the college's World Trade Center artifact.
