Are you an active farmer, owner of agricultural land, nursery, orchard, or greenhouse operator in Kenosha or Racine County? You may bring in up to 200 pounds of agricultural chemical waste free of charge! Information on what will be accepted can be found on the registration form (online or paper, see below)

When: Saturday, August 29th, 9am-12 noon
Where: Old Settlers Park (Racine Co Fairgrounds), 19805 Durand Ave, Union Grove

Registration is required by 8/26.

SMALL SCALE COVER CROPPING WORKSHOP

Cover cropping is a practice that growers at all scales can implement to improve soil health. Learn about cover crops that are ideal for small-scale diversified vegetable production, how to establish a cover crop, and strategies for breaking down cover crops and incorporating them back into the soil.

This workshop is geared towards small-scale diversified vegetable growers who have questions and are interested in learning more, however the workshop is free and open to all!
