Calling all 8th grade parents. Booster club is asking for your help in sending baby pictures of your 8th grader for a bulletin board for the 8th grade celebration. We would love to showcase the growth of your student. Please send your favorite picture to [email protected] We would love to have all pictures in by May 31st. If pictures are not sent in we will try to find a yearbook picture of your child.

Superintendent Pearson & Finance Director Vargas will be at Lucille Umbarger TONIGHT to give the districts budget outlook. Please join us. All are welcome! Parents, staff, community members, anyone. Doors open at 6. Presentation begins @ 6:30 with an open forum for questions after.

The LU Booster Club is happy to host Pearson & Vargas. This will take place in lieu of our monthly meeting. On Wednesday, March 20, in the cafeteria from 6:30 - 7:30 pm, we have an opportunity to hear about the B-ESD budget from Superintendent Pearson and Finance Director Val Vargas. Translation services will be available, and we encourage everyone to attend.

Lucille Umbarger Booster Club is running Winter Giving Drive.

We are asking for donations of non- perishable pantry staples, warm weather accessories, personal care items, diapers (3,4&5) and household necessities(cleaning supplies, toilet paper).

These items will be donated to our very own LU families in need this holiday season. Any additional items will be used to stock a pantry in need at LU for students in need throughout the year.

LU has just of 600 students and over 70% qualify for free and reduced lunch.

If you or someone you know is looking to give this holiday season, this would be a great way to help a local and some local families. Also, if you or someone you know has a business who would like to donate the Booster Club is a 503C organization.

Please share with your friends and family. We'd really like to collect as many items as possible to help as many kids and their families as we can.

LU will be honoring our local Veterans tomorrow (Thus 11/9) from 9:30-10:15. The 4th-6th graders will be singing and the Booster Club will be offering cookies and coffee afterwards in the library for Veteran's.
