Join us on Monday, August 24 at Breadtree Farms to explore how agroforestry can help diversify your farm while strengthening both your business and the landscape.

Managing more than 20,000 food-producing trees and shrubs across 800 acres in Southwest Vermont and the Upper Hudson Valley, the Breadtree Farms team is integrating chestnuts, hickories, oaks, seaberries, apples, pears, mulberries, persimmons, and more into orchards grazed by sheep and cattle.

During this workshop, you'll tour these multifunctional landscapes, hear about ongoing research projects, and learn how agroforestry can support alternative fodder, healthier soils, cleaner water, greater biodiversity, carbon sequestration, and more resilient farm systems.

Whether you're already planting trees or just beginning to explore the possibilities, this is a unique opportunity to see agroforestry in practice.

Space is limited, so we encourage you to pre-register at NOFAVT.ORG/SUMMER2026

This workshop is free for farmers, thanks to generous support from the Transition to Organic Partnership Program.
