The 21st Century Program
at Burlington Elementary School held their annual Lights On After School family engagement night.

Lights On is a nationwide event celebrated by various organizations to showcase the importance of after school programs.

After school programs keep kids safe, support working families, help young students build connections, improve academics and explore the world around them.

Student items can be picked up from the Fair between 2:30 and 4 pm today. Student will have items in the crops/education building and Kelley Hall. Students that received a 1st, 2nd or 3rd ribbon will also receive a premium prize to be picked up in Kelley Hall. Unclaimed items will be picked up by Mrs. Long and will be available at BES after 8/1.

Our time at Mahaffie Farms went so fast! We are just now leaving and should arrive back to BES at approximately 2:30. Please plan to pick up on the west side. Bus routes will run as usual.

What a fun time we had today at our rocket launch and water party! Not only did they get to launch their own rockets but they worked on being patient, handling the outdoor temperatures, and being flexible when our water activities presented some challenges. Way to go kids!!
