Updated information on the online ASL Classes, with course descriptions and pricing:
*** 8 week beginner course for teens/adults on Monday nights at 7pm, via Google Classrooms = $140***
*** 8 week Intermediate course for teens/adults who already know the basics (like alphabets, etc) on Tuesday nights at 7pm, via Google Classrooms = 140***
*** 6 week course for kids on Wednesday nights via Google Classrooms at 6pm = $100 per kid, or $160 per family, regardless of # of kids***
The beginner courses for adults/teens will cover: introductions; alphabets/numbers; family signs; and some other core vocabulary that will help you with basic communication with a deaf person. We will also go over the importance of facial expressions, and some things about the Deaf culture.
The intermediate courses for adults/teens will cover: a wide array of real-world core vocabulary; the ASL structure; and conversing in public places, such as restaurants. We will also go over how to express needs/preferences, feelings/emotions, and how to request/offer help.
The kids course will cover: colors; animals; basic vocabulary kids use often; and mannerisms (please, thank you, sorry, etc).
