In early 2026, Technology for Tomorrow will be partnering with South Burlington Public Library , providing two free public classes! Both classes will be held in the Digital Lab at the South Burlington Public Library from 1pm to 2:30pm.
On January 16th, we'll be talking about Children's Internet Safety from a parent's standpoint. There are many threats on the internet that target children directly, and as parents, it's good to learn about what can affect our children.
On February 27th, we'll be doing a class about building resumes using a free tool called Google Docs. Resumes are required to get most any job, and Google Docs allows us to build & print a resume wherever we have internet access.
These classes are available for walk-in and can also be signed up for via South Burlington Public Library's site!

October 14th marks the day that Microsoft will be officially ending support for Windows 10, meaning that computers using this version of the Windows operating system will no longer receive technical support or security updates.
This does not mean that Windows 10 or devices using this operating system will stop working. However, it does mean that these devices will be more vulnerable to viruses and malware.
Microsoft recommends upgrading for free before this October 14th deadline. To check if your device is eligible for a free update, open the PC Health Check application, which comes pre-installed on Windows-enabled computers. Alternatively, you can go into your Settings application, navigate to the "Update & Security" section, find the "Windows Update" button, and click "Check for Updates." This will begin the process. We recommend following Microsoft's "Ways to Install Windows 11" webpage, which lays out all the criteria.
Make sure to update as soon as possible so you can keep your computer and data safe!

This week, we are excited to announce the beginning of a new class series in partnership with Burlington Technical Center! This 18-class series is split into 3 tiers. Level 1, or basic literacy, will focus on understanding computers, phones, web browsing, and LinkedIn. Level 2, or workplace skilling, will include lessons on Google Workplace and the Microsoft Office Suite. Finally, level 3, or preparation for tomorrow, will cover AI basics, scams, the future of AI, job searching, and resumes.
Our series kicks off on October 15th, with the start of our first tier. We can't wait to work with Burlington Technical Center, and start our series!

We are so thankful to Technology for Technology for Tomorrow and Comcast for bringing this new series of classes to our computer class participants!
This week, we are excited to announce our first series in partnership with Burlington School District Parent University as part of the Comcast Digital Navigation Program! This series, which begins on August 7th, includes course on understanding and supporting learners, as well as how to teach subjects like Computers 101, LinkedIn, Web browsing, and more.
The Comcast Digital Navigation Program puts a priority on training trainers and staff, offering a deeper look into understanding how people learn, their motivations, and how to teach digital literacy skills in an effective and efficient manner.
We'd like to thank Burlington Parent University for continuing to partner with us, and Comcast for supporting our initiative to spread digital literacy training across the state! We're excited to get started next week, and we look forward to seeing some familiar faces.
