Early Learning Preschool Center turned 30 this week!

Wednesday, July 29th was the preschool's 30 anniversary!

We celebrated by installing a Little Free Library to join the Giving Tree in front of the school. We started The Giving Tree on our 20th anniversary.

We filled both the Little Library and Giving Tree with children's books and bookmarks, and decorated the sidewalk in front of the school. We also had an indoor celebration with treats and balloons.

If you were one of my students here, know that I definitely remember you, and am probably telling stories with fun memories of you to new students and staff.

Love and Thanks to everyone who has been part of the preschool during the past 30 years!

Parents: We will be closed tomorrow, Monday January 26th, due to the weather. Stay safe and warm!

This is our friend, Dr. Hughes. Dr. Hughes is 94 years old and lives at the nearby Converse Home. Each morning, Dr. Hughes walks by our school on his way down to the lake and back. You may have seen him walking with his poles and reflective vest. Our students wave hello to him, and sometimes he stops to chat for a minute. Dr. Hughes is leading a team from the Converse Home (The Conversationals) to raise money for Alzeimer's research in honor of his late wife. He'll be participating in the 2 mile walk later in September. Please consider donating to his cause if you're able! Link included below.

We've had a great crop of green beans this year, with the vines covering our fence. We've still got plenty of vegetables growing but the garden is starting to wind down. Happy Fall!

Happy Birthday to us!

Today marks 28 years since we opened in 1996. I forgot to take many photos during our celebratory balloon dance party this morning, but this fun-loving friend has been part of Early Learning for 5 of those 28 years, so we recreated a photo from one of her first weeks!
