We filled our Giving Tree with art kits for the South End Art Hop! Seaba Burlington

This is our friend, Dr. Hughes. Dr. Hughes is 94 years old and lives at the nearby Converse Home. Each morning, Dr. Hughes walks by our school on his way down to the lake and back. You may have seen him walking with his poles and reflective vest. Our students wave hello to him, and sometimes he stops to chat for a minute. Dr. Hughes is leading a team from the Converse Home (The Conversationals) to raise money for Alzeimer's research in honor of his late wife. He'll be participating in the 2 mile walk later in September. Please consider donating to his cause if you're able! Link included below.

Fire Station field trip day! We are learning about our community and community helpers. Thank you to the firefighters at Burlington's Station #1 for giving us a tour.

We've had a great crop of green beans this year, with the vines covering our fence. We've still got plenty of vegetables growing but the garden is starting to wind down. Happy Fall!

Today marks 28 years since we opened in 1996. I forgot to take many photos during our celebratory balloon dance party this morning, but this fun-loving friend has been part of Early Learning for 5 of those 28 years, so we recreated a photo from one of her first weeks!

Picnic day!

Our second week of Nature Camp! We visited the natural playground at Smalley Park, learned about creatures that live in Vermont, added water to the sandbox to investigate wet sand, made nature collages and one of our butterflies hatched today!

Our garden is growing!
