PERFECT ATTENDANCE MATTERS!

Every Day Counts at Head Start

Children learn best when they attend school every day. Regular attendance helps children build friendships, develop routines, and gain the skills they need for success in school and in life.

Benefits of Perfect Attendance:
• Builds strong learning habits
• Helps children stay on track academically
• Encourages social and emotional growth
• Creates a consistent daily routine
• Shows children the importance of responsibility



IMPORTANT ATTENDANCE REMINDERS
• Children arriving after 9:00 AM will be counted late and will not receive Perfect Attendance rewards.
• If a child arrives at 9:00 AM or later, the parent/guardian must first stop by Ms. Carol's office so the child can be placed on attendance for the day.

Room 1 celebrated friendship by making a pinata together. The children also made friendship notes to each other
A wonderful way to wrap up their first 6 weeks of school.Good evening,
I wanted to share some wonderful moments from Room 1 at Boone!

The beginning of the year in Creative Curriculum focuses on helping children feel safe, comfortable, and connected in their classroom. During the First Six Weeks, children learn classroom routines and expectations, build relationships with their teachers and peers, explore the different areas of the classroom, and begin developing a sense of belonging within their classroom community.

To wrap up their Beginning of the Year study, Room 1 celebrated friendship! Teachers and children worked together to create their very own piñata, giving children an opportunity to collaborate, be creative, and contribute to a shared classroom project.

Each child also created a special card for another friend in the classroom. This meaningful activity encouraged kindness, friendship, communication, and social-emotional development while helping children recognize that they are an important part of their classroom community.

What a fun and meaningful way to celebrate everything they have learned during their first few weeks together!
