Student safety is always a top priority, therefore we will be using the OpenGate Weapons Detection System this school year. Beginning Monday anyone entering the building, will need to pass through the OpenGate System.

These advanced walk-through systems rapidly scan for dangerous and prohibited items as students and visitors enter, providing a quick and unobtrusive screening process that supports a safe learning environment. These devices will be set up around campus and students will go through them before entering the main building.

To help ensure that students will be able to quickly pass through the system in the mornings, please take a few minutes to clean out your child's book bag so they do not have any unnecessary items in their book bags. Students will have to remove a few items from their book bag prior to walking through the system. We will have staff on hand to assist them as they walk through the system. Those items include...
