The PTO kicked off the morning by hosting breakfast for our wonderful teachers and staff! It was a great way to welcome everyone back and celebrate the people who make our school community so special.

This year’s theme, I am WE, is a reminder that each of us plays a part in making our Seabee community stronger. Teachers, staff, students, families and PTO - we’re all part of the WE!

We look forward to seeing our Seabee families this Thursday at Open House as we kick off another great year together!

You know what’s kinda chic? Joining the Marvin B. Smith Elementary PTO.

When you join the PTO, you’re doing more than becoming a member. You’re helping support the students, teachers and staff who make our Seabee community so special.

Your membership helps us provide classroom support, show appreciation for our teachers and staff, create opportunities for families to connect, and fund programs and experiences that benefit our students throughout the school year.

And joining doesn’t mean you’re signing up for every event or committing hours of your time. Simply becoming a member is one way to show that you believe in our school and want to help make a difference.

More members = more support for our Seabees.

You know what’s kinda chic? Supporting your student’s teacher and helping fulfill their classroom wish list.

Our teachers put so much into creating welcoming, engaging classrooms for our Seabees, and this is an easy way for families to show them a little extra support as we head into a new school year.

We’ll be sharing teacher wish list links in the comments below. We hope you’ll take a look, choose an item (or two!), and help our teachers start the year with some of the supplies and resources they need.

Our Buzz Club recently performed at the Burlington Sock Puppets game!

"Take me out to the ballgame" 🎶 and you may have spotted these Seabees on the field! 🐝 The Smith Elementary Buzz Club led the National Anthem at the opening night for the Burlington Sock Puppets. Great job students and thanks Mr. Melton for your leadership!
