The Burlington Science Center, part of the Burlington Public School System, was established in September,1984 by John Papadonis. Modeled after the successful Needham Science Center in Needham, MA, it was initiated in Burlington by John Papadonis. Wendy Pavlicek, the Director, has been part of the Scien

Science Center seniors Bridget Boermeester and Kanchi Patel participated in an internship combining art and their love of animals. Pictured is the mural they painted that is outside the animal room of the science center. Their nicknames are "turtle patrol" as they enjoyed retrieving our tortoises from their outside enclosure at the end of the day.

Kindergarten classrooms across the elementary schools are participating in chick hatching to observe how living things change as they grow. The incubator at the Science Center has been up and running, eggs have been candled and the eggs will be ready to be delivered to classrooms soon! All classes watched weekly videos explaining the candling and growing process and attended a chicken and egg classroom program at their schools.
