Meet Julianne Walshaw, a past student who discovered the UVM Business Operations in Craft Beer course and is now a Sales and Distribution Manager at Rek-Lis Brewing Company in New Hampshire!
Julianne has served many roles at Rek’Lis Brewing Company, from serving to bartending and assistant manager. Yet, she wanted to learn more about the business side of brewing and to support her passion for craft beer.
The UVM Business Operations in Craft Beer course taught her everything she needed to become successful in her current role. She learned an “understanding of the three-tiered system, which includes the brewery, the distributor, and the retailer,” she says. “The class also helped show me ways to figure out who values your brand.”
Just one eight-week course has set Julianne up for success in her career, and she is excelling in her role and training to become a brewer!
